2015 Venturi Carignane

“The Venturi vineyard sits in the uppermost valley in Mendocino County. Its soils are sandy, rocky and quick to drain. This dry-farmed Carignane sits on the benchland of the Venturi vineyard far away from any water source. This causes the vines to produce extremely concentrated clusters. The wine that is made from this fruit is full of Cranberry, leather, and iron. The age of the vines allows the wine to retain lively acidity but moderate alcohol making this wine perfectly balanced.”
