2018 Conte Vineyard Zinfandel

A field blend with 85% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, along with Carignane, Alicante Bouchet, & Grenache.  Ron Conte planted this field blend at his house in 1995 and has continued to update and add to his wonderful vines. This vineyard is an ode to the old vine Zins of yesteryear and encapsulates the beauty of zin field blends.  Showcasing bright notes of blackberry jam, spices, and hints of cherry.

Tasting Notes
This 2018 Conte Vineyard Zinfandel is full bodied with a healthy amount of jammy blackberry fruit with spice, dark cherries and a peppery nose. This zin has soft tannins but is bursting with flavor culminated by a long finish that rolls to the back of your tongue.

Food Pairing
Pair with Italian sausage rigatoni smothered in a creamy vodka sauce.
